Fire TV release 6.75 with Voice control

Update was published to Amazon App Store.

Changes include:

- Profiles for new Fire TV devices: Fire TV Edition and Fire TV Cube

- Basic slideshow support for photos.

- Support for mov_text subtitles.

- Alexa voice control support.

Voice control

Recently Amazon enabled Alexa Voice Control for playback for 3rd-party apps. You can use your Voice Remote to control playback with commands like "Play", "Pause", "Skip five minutes". It does not really make sense to speak to remote if you can just press buttons.

Things changed much with introduction of Fire TV Cube. Now you do not need to look for the remote to pause a video. Just say "Alexa, stop". That's why we added this feature.

It is also possible in some cases to use external Alexa speaker to control playback.

Slideshow

You can now start slideshow for videos in the current directory. Just select "Play all" and then press "Play" on the remote. Photos will changed every 10 second.
